Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to help patients communicate, swallow, and improve speech and cognitive-communication abilities. You design and implement rehab plans, and work with patients to execute those plans to restore function.

You will be a healer and teacher, collaborating with peers and families to promote independence, safety, and quality of life across diverse care settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field as required by ASHA.
• Licensure or credentialing as required by the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehab services by designing and executing individualized treatment plans.
• Help patients improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication abilities.
• Collaborate with the care team and refer as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support patient independence and coach patients and caregivers.

Education

Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients get their power back. You are the person who can help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans.

You're a healer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual, and you know your goal is the design of a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their speech and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 1. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• 2. Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.

Posted Salary Range

USD $60.00 - USD $65.00 /Hr.
