Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR) is seeking a full-time speech pathologist based at our Frisco Main outpatient clinic. BSWIR Outpatient has an interdisciplinary team model working closely with physical therapy and occupational therapy. We are searching for candidates with experience treating motor speech, adult language, cognitive-communication disorders and dysphagia, especially related to treatment following head/neck cancer. We work as part of the continuum of care, striving to get patients back to their premorbid level of functioning. Adult outpatient therapy consists of diagnostics and treatment of stroke, acquired brain injury, dysphagia, voice, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, dementia and other medical complexities in an interdisciplinary setting. Experience with LSVT or SPEAK OUT! is preferred. Require at least 2-3 years of experience treating the adult medical population. Our outpatient speech therapy team includes many experienced clinicians with specialties in a variety of areas which serve as great mentors. We offer a clinical ladder for advancement, company-supported professional development and CEU’s. We have a year-long professional development program to clinicians new to post-acute rehabilitation.
The ideal candidate will have licensed outpatient experience treating the adult neurologic population.
