Job summary

The University of Chicago's Speech Perception and Production Lab is seeking a Lab/Project Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate recruitment and scheduling, and support data collection and analysis across multiple projects.

Reporting to the lab director, you will supervise research assistants, facilitate communication with collaborators, manage IRB submissions and grant reporting, and help ensure quality control and timely dissemination of findings.

Qualifications

• Education: college degree in a related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years in a related role.
• IRB familiarity and research coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates day-to-day lab operations including recruitment, scheduling, and data collection.
• Supports experiment design and implementation across lab projects.
• Supervises research assistants and facilitates communication with collaborators.
• Assists with IRB submissions, grant reporting and compliance as needed.
• Manages lab resources and handles administrative tasks.
