DUTIES

Calvin University seeks an Assistant Professor - Speech Pathology and Audiology in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position does not require travel. Teach undergraduates and graduates. Conduct scholarly activity. Provide department- and University-level service. Provide academic advice. Mentor student research. Demonstrate excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and master's levels as well as an active stream of relevant research and publication. Integrate Christian faith, ethical reflection, and vocational discernment into coursework in alignment with the reformed tradition.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Ph.D. (or foreign academic equivalent) in Speech Language Pathology or related field or One (1) year of experience in related occupation. Experience must include: Experience, through education or employment, designing and delivering undergraduate and graduate courses using a variety of instructional methods, including learning management system (i.e., Moodle), classroom technology, and evidence-based teaching strategies appropriate for both in-person and online learning environments; Experience, through education or employment, with academic advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, including guidance on academic progress, professional identity development, research involvement, and preparation for clinical practice or doctoral study; Experience, through education or employment, with maintaining an active research agenda, including designing studies, supervising student research, preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication, and collaborating with faculty and students on interdisciplinary or applied research projects; Experience, through education or employment, with student learning assessment, program-level evaluation, and documentation aligned with departmental, university, and accreditation expectations (e.g., outcomes assessment, data-informed curriculum improvement).
