Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga at Cleveland seeks a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead our clinical team and guide patients through speech and communication rehabilitation. You will mentor staff, support in-service education, and collaborate across departments to deliver compassionate care.

The role emphasizes supervision of therapists and SLPA staff, provision of direct patient care, and involvement in student programs and clinical ladders.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure in Speech Therapy.
• CCC certification (Clinical Competence) required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years of speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or related certifications.

Responsibilities

Embrace Your Role as a Senior Speech Language Pathologist

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management. Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications.

License or Certification:Must be in possession of current state license in Speech Therapy.Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC), required.BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
