Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga at Cleveland is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and guide a team in a supportive, patient-centric environment.

You will mentor staff, participate in in-service education, and supervise SLP assistants while delivering compassionate care across rehabilitation programs. This role emphasizes clinical leadership, collaboration, and program growth within a nationwide leader in post-acute care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology as required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in speech-language pathology.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships to aid recovery.
• Lead in-service education for staff and support student programs.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
