Expectations

• Performs diagnostic evaluation of patients with communication disorders and administers speech and language treatment to patients.
• Participates in the management of patient care to include identification of communicative disorders' diagnosis; linking and scheduling patient with required services, monitoring care delivery, advocating for the patient, and evaluating outcomes.
• The Speech Pathologist facilitates patient care across the health care continuum, and assists other team members.
• This position requires flexibility of hours.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech pathology, Language Pathology, or Communicative Disorders required.

Experience/Training

• Determined by patient care area with 1 year related practice experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current unrestricted Speech Pathologist License (SLP) issued by state of California Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensary Board
• Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
