Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology, has current California licensure, and preferably has hospital experience. The position involves treating patients of all ages and is recognized for excellence in care.

Competitive salary is offered at $58.00 hourly, with day shifts available.

Qualifications

Current state license as a Speech/Language Pathologist by the State of California Board of Medical Examiners

The Speech and Language Pathologist provides a full range of speech pathology services to include evaluation and treatment for speech and language disorders, cognitive impairments, visual field deficits and dysphagia.

Required Skills

• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and elderly with a variety of diagnoses.

• With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational, and environmental needs of the patient/ significant others when administering care.
• Proficient in video fluoroscopic swallow studies.

Required Experience

Required:

• Masters degree or equivalency in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited education program.
• Current state license as a Speech/Language Pathologist by the State of California Board of Medical Examiners.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech/Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Preferred:

• Spanish speaking preferred
• A minimum of one year of hospital experience is preferred.
• Basic Windows and mouse skills preferred.
