Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Roanoke, Alabama. This part-time role offers a 2-3 day per week schedule with orientation pay of $49.50–$61.00 per hour, after which compensation converts to a per point pay method.

You will work to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech and swallowing disorders in adults, in home health settings. The role supports professional growth with extensive benefits including medical plans, paid time off, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with accredited practicum.
• Current CPR certification.

• Provide aural rehabilitation and AAC support for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Attractive pay

$49.50 to $61.00 per hour for Orientation and will then convert to a per point pay method.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to that state you are assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)* with completed graduate course work and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred

• One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.

*Note: If the SLP - CCC certification has not been obtained the candidate must be put into the SLP Clinical Fellow (100910) job. Clinical Fellowship (CFY) is the transition between student and independent which involves an SLP supervisor, hour requirements and mentoring.
