Ranch House Senior Living is seeking a Speech Pathologist to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and related disorders in residents. You will plan and administer treatment programs, document progress, and communicate with the rehab team.
Responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, adhering to facility policies, providing in-service education, and performing duties with dignity and respect for residents.
The Speech Pathologist is to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders.
The following is a general list of key job duties and responsibilities in your position. The list is not to be considered inclusive and you will be required to perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned by an authorized supervisor.
Comply with the Facility's personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator or Director of Nursing. Reports to Corporate Director of Rehabilitation and facility Director of Rehabilitation Services.
Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with dignity and respect.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
Report to work on time and as scheduled.
Responsible for identification of patients demonstrating communication and swallow deficits.
Responsible for evaluating the patient within one business day of written referral from the Doctor.
After evaluating the patient, the therapist is responsible for planning and administering an appropriate treatment plan. Communicate with the referring physician and the rehabilitation team regarding the patient’s total treatment program. Maintain an accurate daily record of treatments given to patients including billing and charting.
Follow weekly documentation guidelines for all residents treated.
Provide in-service education to facilities, supportive staff, students and community.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Will attain an efficiency standard for delivery of speech language pathology services.
