Job summary

Northern Rivers Family of Services is seeking a Speech Pathologist to deliver direct speech-language services to K-12 students at our Albany, NY site. The role reports to the Clinical Supervisor and is on site, with focus on comprehensive assessments and individualized therapy plans.

Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, diagnostic evaluations, progress reporting, and collaboration with teachers to support Special Education programs.

Qualifications

• Requires at least one year experience with students pre-K-12 with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of diagnostic assessments and report writing.
• Familiarity with therapeutic approaches for language, articulation and oral-motor skills.
• Familiarity with evaluating and documenting progress for IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group speech-language therapy in person.
• Provide diagnostic speech-language evaluations and screenings.
• Write, maintain and chart records of children approved for speech-language services.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers in preparing daily activities for students in Special Education.
• Complete initial and ongoing evaluations and progress updates.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives.
• Provide play-based child-oriented therapy.
• Supervise TS HH staff under their direction and complete supervision documentation.
• Complete therapy reports, notes, progress monitoring and logs.

Speech Pathologist**Retention bonus $7,500** (paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 90 days and 1/2 at a year)**Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - no weekendsAs a Speech Pathologist, you will provide Speech Therapy services to the school and the amazing students that we have.
