Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is hiring a Speech Pathologist to provide adult home health visits in a full-time day role. You will assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognition, swallowing disorders in adults, delivering care in patients' homes and coordinating with care teams.

The position offers competitive pay ($102,000 - $130,000 annually) and comprehensive benefits. Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP, CPR certification, and a valid state license are required to practice

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work.
• CCC-SLP certification with coursework and supervised practicum from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and implement AAC systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to that state you are assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)* with completed graduate course work and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred

• One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.
• Note: If the SLP - CCC certification has not been obtained the candidate must be put into the SLP Clinical Fellow (100910) job. Clinical Fellowship (CFY) is the transition between student and independent which involves an SLP supervisor, hour requirements and mentoring.
