Job summary

Speech Kids NY is hiring dedicated Speech Language Pathologists or CFs to serve NYC DOE schools and preschools across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Queens, in person.

You will assess, diagnose and treat speech, language and communication disorders, collaborating with students, families and school teams to create individualized therapy plans and measure progress over time. In this role, compassionate care and strong documentation are essential to support student success.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice SLP.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions for articulation, fluency, and language.
  • Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in schools or healthcare settings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Stay updated on best practices in speech therapy.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologists or CFs to work at Schools and preschools in NYC DOE in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Queens.

In this role, you will work with individuals of all ages, focusing on diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. You will collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that promote effective communication and enhance quality of life.

Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities in patients.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension.
  • Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
  • Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication development at home.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in schools or healthcare settings to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Stay updated on best practices in speech therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Skills
  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to speech therapy.
  • Strong background in patient care with an emphasis on empathy and support.
  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it pertains to speech production and language processing.
  • Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments to inform treatment strategies.
  • Familiarity with early intervention techniques for young children experiencing communication challenges.
Compensation

Fee-For-Service Option

  • CF – $65.00 per hour on W-2 Monolingual
  • CF – $75.00 per hour on W-2 Bilingual Spanish
  • Licensed SLP – $75.00 per hour on W-2 – Monolingual
  • Licensed SLP – $90.00 per hour on W-2 – Bilingual Spanish
