Job summary

Providence's St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognition and swallowing disorders, and to develop and coordinate SLP services with physicians, families and the care team.

This full-time, 1.0 FTE Day shift role includes a $5,000 external hire bonus and a base pay range of $46.81–$72.66 per hour; licensure in Alaska and BLS certification are required; overtime and other incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Alaska Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognition and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and coordinate Speech Language Pathology services with physicians, partners and families.
• Assist in direct patient care and collaborate with the care team per ASHA standards.

Develops, coordinates and maintains Speech Language Pathology services in collaboration with physicians, primary partners, and patient/family. Assists in direct patient care. Collaborates with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with standards and guidelines established by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
