Overview
Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) – Neuro Home & Community. This is not a traditional clinic‑based speech therapy role. We are hiring an SLP to deliver neuro‑focused rehabilitation in home and community settings—where communication, cognition, and swallowing challenges show up in real life.
You will help patients rebuild the ability to communicate, think, and participate in daily life after neurological injury or illness.
This role is ideal for SLPs looking for clinical autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful, relationship‑based neuro rehabilitation work.

Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Regularly re‑assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings, and family conferences.
- Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
- Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, service recipients, and family members.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, care coordination, and enhanced patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program.
- Valid Speech‑Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice.
- Current CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
- At least one year of work experience as an SLP.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and, if necessary, lift up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
- Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
- Additional physical requirements: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.
- May require a health screen or examination prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on location policy and regulations.
