Job summary

Compassionate ABA & Therapeutic Services (CABATS) in Springfield, VA seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Independent Contractor to join our multidisciplinary team at the Springfield clinic. This role offers clinical independence, schedule flexibility, and collaboration across ABA, OT, and other developmental services to serve children with developmental needs.

Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based therapy while coordinating

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Virginia SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred/required as applicable to responsibilities.
• Experience with pediatric/developmental populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations.
• Develop individualized, functional treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy.
• Address language, articulation, AAC, and social communication areas.
• Complete progress reports and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with families to support generalization.
• Coordinate care with BCBAs, OTs, physicians, schools, and other providers.
• Provide guidance and supervision to assigned SLPAs when applicable.
• Maintain compliance with ASHA and VA requirements.

CBATS is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Independent Contractor to join our growing multidisciplinary team at our Springfield, Virginia clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who values clinical independence, schedule flexibility, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful work with children and individuals with developmental needs. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.


• Develop individualized, functional treatment plans.


• Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy.


• Address receptive/expressive language, functional communication, articulation, social/pragmatic communication, AAC, and other clinically appropriate areas.


• Complete progress reports, reassessments, and required clinical documentation.


• Collaborate with caregivers to support skill generalization.


• Coordinate care with BCBAs, OTs, physicians, schools, and other providers when appropriate.


• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to assigned SLPAs when applicable.


• Maintain documentation in accordance with professional, payer, and company requirements.


• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining appropriate SLP scope of practice.


• Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with ASHA and applicable Virginia requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.


• Current Virginia SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.


• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable to assigned responsibilities.


• Pediatric or developmental-disability experience strongly preferred.


• Experience with autism, AAC, language disorders, and social communication is highly valued.


• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining independent clinical judgment.


• Experience supervising SLPAs is a plus.
