The role focuses on direct therapy, data collection for treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality resident care.

The position requires a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, and an active state license. Growth opportunities exist with CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR and FEES/MBS

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• CCC-SLP certification.
• Active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsabilidades

• Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate.
• Evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
• Develop a treatment plan with target list, short-term and long-term goals.
• Instruct patients, families, and staff in speech-language procedures for carryover.
• Complete compliant documentation in CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR.
• Oversight and implementation of FEES/MBS protocols with site coordination.
• Participate in screening protocols to assess resident needs timely and with clinical excellence.

Job Purpose

To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Job Functions

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Education & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
