Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting. You will develop care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards, using standardized assessments.

This day shift role may welcome new graduates with Level II experience who can contribute to a clinical team and assist with supervision of CFY or student SLPs as needed.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma state license required or active license in process.
• CCC certification required for the role.
• 1 year SLP experience; CCS preferred (3 years).

• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and other providers regarding speech disorders.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. You will develop appropriate care plans in adherence to regulatory and clinical practice standards, utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient progress and modify treatments as necessary, documenting all regulatory and clinically required information.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding speech disorders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and health team members about patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, following regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Participate in required meetings, such as patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed.

Schedule

This is a day shift position consisting of 8-hour days.

Required Experience / Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience is required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation settings is also required.
• New graduates are welcome if they possess Level II experience.
• Oklahoma State License is required.
• CCC certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• 3 years of experience holding an active CCS is preferred.
