AmeriStaff Nursing Services is seeking compassionate, licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care directly to patients in the comfort of their homes. In this role, you will evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through clinical assessments, standardized tests, and patient interviews —all within the comfort of their homes.
Evaluate patient function and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the physician
Perform diagnostic and functional assessments (muscle, nerve, joint, and mobility)
Provide therapeutic interventions to relieve pain and improve mobility and independence
Educate patients and families on exercises, treatment plans, and use of assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.)
Communicate regularly with the Nurse/Case Manager and interdisciplinary team
Document patient progress, treatment responses, and changes in condition in a timely manner
Participate in development and updates of the Plan of Care
Coordinate outpatient services when needed
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the State of Michigan
Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred (home health or clinical setting)
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, transferring, and assisting patients
CPR certification preferred
