Job summary

Gunnison Valley Health is seeking a full-time Speech & Language Pathologist to design and implement individualized treatment programs. The position offers a competitive salary of $39.25/hr to $58.88/hr depending on experience, flexible scheduling, and generous benefits including medical/dental/vision plans and a robust tuition reimbursement program.

Qualified candidates will have a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology, valid ASHA certification, and at least two years of clinical experience with diverse populations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical training with a variety of client populations.
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence as outlined by ASHA and maintenance of CPR or BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Design individualized treatment programs to achieve patient goals.
  • Make program changes in response to changes in patient status.
  • Perform adult and geriatric dysphagia evaluations according to ASHA standards.
  • Document measurable short-term and long-term goals.

Requirements
  • Education: Master’s Degree from an approved program of Speech/Language Pathology
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical training with a variety of client populations
  • Licenses/Certification: Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence as outlined by ASHA and maintenance of CPR or BLS
  • Skills:
    • Ability to take proper history and use evaluation methods in accordance with established guidelines
    • Document prognosis, including predicted optimal level of improvement and amount of time needed to reach that level
    • Develop treatment programs in collaboration with patients/caregivers as appropriate
    • Comfortable treating pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating awareness of the patient’s status by making program changes in response to changes in the patient or their environment
  • Performing adult and geriatric dysphagia evaluations in accordance with ASHA practice standards

Compensation

$39.25/hr – $58.88/hr, depending on experience

Physical Requirements

Schedule & Status

Shift – Day
Schedule – 30 hours weekly with flexible scheduling and opportunity to increase to 40 hours weekly when volumes support
