Job summary

Tummy Time Academy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide 1-on-1 therapy for children ages 0-3 in homes, daycares, and community settings. Our admin team handles prep and paperwork, allowing you to focus on therapy.

You will travel between session locations, assess progress, and collaborate with families and other professionals to adjust goals. A PA license and ASHA CCC are required.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 speech therapy to children ages 0-3 in their homes, daycares, or community settings.
• Travel to session locations (home, daycare, playground, library).
• Reflect with families on progress since last session.
• Observe and assess the child’s skills to determine strengths and needs relative to goals.
• Demonstrate activities and adapt play to address expressive, receptive, and social communication goals.
• Guide families on integrating activities into daily routines.
• Share session notes with families using family-friendly language via provided technology/email.
• Collaborate with other professionals on multidisciplinary team to update the therapy plan.
• Initial and annual evaluations are completed by a different team.

Overview:

Tummy Time Academy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist interested in a career that schedules around your life, works 1-on-1 with families, and brings out your inner child and creativity.

Our dedicated admin staff alleviates the pressure of doing prep & paperwork at home, so you'll be able to focus on doing therapy.

As an early intervention SLP, you'll be helping children ages 0-3 and teach families on how they can help their child achieve their established goals!

What Your Day with Tummy Time Academy Would Look Like:

• Providing 1-on-1 speech therapy to children ages 0-3 years old at their everyday settings (i.e. family's home, daycare, playground, library) using toys & routines based on that location.

• Travel to location of session (family's home, daycare, playground, library).

• Reflecting with family on progress since last session.

• Observing & assessing your assigned child's skills to determine strengths/needs as it relates to their goal.

• Demonstrating activities for your assigned child by adapting play to focus on addressing concerns in expressive language, receptive language, and social communication.

• Teaching & guiding families on adapting their play and problem solving on how they can fit these activities into their daily routines to assist with achieving their goal.

• Sharing and reviewing the session note with families using family-friendly language via provided technology and email at the end of session.

• Collaborate and meet with other professionals who are part of child's multi-disciplinary team to share quarterly progress reports and plan/update the child and family's speech therapy plan as needed.

• Initial and annual evaluations are completed by a different team
