Desert Springs Post Acute, soon to be Willow Springs Healthcare Center, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders in a compassionate, interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license, or eligibility for licensure.
  • CFY candidates welcome and encouraged to apply.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred for licensed clinicians.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.
  • Skilled nursing facility experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents for dysphagia and recommend appropriate interventions and diet modifications.
  • Collaborate with nursing, dietary, rehabilitation staff, physicians, and families to ensure quality care.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning processes.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and recommendations.
  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Location: Riverside County, CA

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time or Part-Time

Pay Range: $52.00 – $60.00 per hour DOE

Desert Springs Post Acute, soon to be known as Willow Springs Healthcare Center, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. We are also excited to welcome Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates looking to launch their careers in a supportive skilled nursing environment. Our therapy team is committed to helping residents improve communication, cognition, swallowing function, and overall quality of life through individualized and evidence-based care.

Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates, develops, and implements treatment plans for residents experiencing speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
