Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist / SLP for a contract assignment in a school setting in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The SLP will assess referred patients, deliver speech, language, voice and swallowing interventions, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals. Licensure as an SLP (or active application) and SLP-CCC credential are required. Excellent assessment, planning and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school.
• Current state license or actively pursuing licensure as an SLP.
• Interdisciplinary team collaboration to develop a care plan per patient.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions as per physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate and modify care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Set realistic goals for speech and swallowing to support education, work and social roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring speech, language, voice and/or swallowing treatment.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds, improve voice quality, or develop oral/written language.
• Strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow safely.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and adjust patient care plans.

A great School is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist / SLP to join their growing team for a contract assignment!

The Speech Language Pathologist / SLP is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require treatment for speech, hearing and or language deficits. The Speech Language Pathologist / SLP will teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase their oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively. Also, the Speech Language Pathologist / SLP will teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid.

Requirements include:

• Must have graduated from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care for each patient.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assesses patient needs, plans for, evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop, or recover, reliable communication and swallowing skills so that the patient can fulfill their educational, vocational and social roles.
• Candidate must be an SLP-CCC.
