Job summary

HealthPro Heritage seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time role split between Lutheran Rehabilitation Skilled Care Center in Worcester, MA, and Quaboag in West Brookfield, MA. The position features a diverse long-term care caseload and competitive benefits.

You will evaluate and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, document progress, and work with PTs, OTs, nurses, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or eligibility for licensure in MA.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification is required or sought.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies and monitor treatment progress.
  • Document evaluations and progress in patient records per regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for patient-centered care.

HealthPro Heritage has a great Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity.

Need: Full-time - Split between Lutheran and Quaboag

Location: Lutheran Rehabilitation Skilled Care Center in Worcester, MA, and Quaboag in West Brookfield, MA

Setting: Long-term care

Rate Range: $43-$55/hr (based on years of experience)

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
  • Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
