Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Murphy, TX is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a PRN, per diem post at a senior living facility. Flexible schedules and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, educate patients and families, document progress, and work with other providers to deliver high-quality care.

State licensure, ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; strong communication and EHR skills; equal employment opportunity.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
• Certification: CCC-SLP from ASHA.
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapies; monitor and adjust treatment plans.
• Educate and support patients and families on disorders and daily communication strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
• Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
• Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
