Job summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Life Care Center of South Hill provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients following physician referrals and Life Care standards. Education includes a MS/MA in SLP, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, and state licensure.

New grads are welcome. The role requires teamwork, proper documentation, and adherence to safety and confidentiality policies within a post-acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA certified (CCC) OR eligible for CFY to earn CCCs; maintain credentialing.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients.
• Assist in accordance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team planning for patient goals and care.

Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)ASHA certified (CCCs) OR must be eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in order to earn ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria. Once achieved, must maintain ASHA credentialing.Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to applyCPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation.
