Job summary

Aspire Senior Living Joplin is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to lead speech therapy services for our senior residents. The role focuses on communication and cognitive-motor skills, working within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans.

You will provide both individual and group sessions, document progress, and stay current with best practices to ensure high-quality services in a warm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLP in Missouri or eligible for licensure.
• Experience with adult populations in long-term care preferred.
• Familiarity with dysphagia assessment and management.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate communication and swallowing disorders; develop individualized plans
• Provide individual and group speech therapy sessions to residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to tailor care plans for each resident
• Monitor progress; document outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals for seamless care

About the Role:

As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Aspire Senior Living Joplin, you will play a vital role in helping our residents communicate effectively and maintain their cognitive and motor skills. Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident. Your expertise will ensure that our residents receive the highest level of speech therapy services, enabling them to live their lives to the fullest.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate the communication and swallowing disorders of our residents, developing individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs
• Provide speech therapy services to our residents, including individual and group sessions, to improve their communication and cognitive skills
• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that cater to the needs of each resident
• Monitor and document resident progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve services
