Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Irving, TX seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) to provide neuro-rehabilitation to adults in real-world settings such as home and community. You will work with a collaborative rehab team, enjoying flexible scheduling and clinical autonomy to achieve meaningful functional outcomes.

Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, and discharge assessments, with state licensure, CPR, and at least one year of SLP experience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred
  • Communicates effectively in verbal and written interactions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
  • Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
  • Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services, and family members
  • Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhance patient outcomes
