Job summary

The Grove Health and Rehabilitation in Hernando, FL seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehab team. The role offers both full-time and 1099 contractor opportunities, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for new hires.

The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders within a subacute rehab setting, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and therapists to tailor therapy plans and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' needs and goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to individuals and groups with evidence-based interventions.

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic rehab team. This role offers both full-time and 1099 contractor opportunities.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at The Grove Health and Rehabilitation, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide personalized therapy plans, helping patients reach their rehabilitation goals in a subacute rehab setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to individuals and groups, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, home exercises, and techniques for improving swallowing and cognitive function.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and physical/occupational therapists, to coordinate care and optimize patient recovery.
• Document patient progress and treatment sessions in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations, as well as professional and ethical standards in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida (or eligibility for licensure).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required for consideration.
• Experience working in a subacute, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing facility setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds, including geriatric populations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
