Job summary

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to support services near Hermosa Beach, CA. The role is split between two facilities in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, offering 10–15 hours per week at a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities include outpatient therapy in Assisted Living settings, memory care, and short-term stays, with a focus on assessment, treatment, and family education. Join a mission-driven team delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or license eligible.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and observations.
• Implement evidence-based therapies and educate patients and families on treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and plans in the EHR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

• Compensation: $55-$58 per hour
• Setting for Redondo Beach: Outpatient Therapy program inside of an Assisted/Independent Living facility.
• Setting for Hermosa Beach: Highly-rated and beautiful Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Short-term stay facility.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
• Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
• Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
