Job summary

LMS Recruiting seeks a licensed Speech-language Pathologist (SLP) for a trusted home health agency in Texas. The role focuses on pediatric patients and families, providing evaluation, development, and medically prescribed therapy in the home.

You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement therapy, monitor progress, and educate families. Active Texas license or eligibility and CCC-SLP required; ASHA accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate pediatric patients to determine therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to restore, improve, or compensate for communication disorders.
  • Monitor patient progress, maintain documentation, and adjust plans as needed in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Educate families on techniques and use of adaptive equipment to support home-based therapy.

Job description

We are seeking a licensed Speech-language Pathologist (SLP) for an established home health agency. The successful candidate will provide speech therapy to pediatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities

As a Speech-language Pathologist (SLP), you willbe responsible forthe evaluation, development, and implementation of effective patient treatment plans to restore, compensate, or adapt for loss of patient function and planning and administering medically prescribed therapy.Additionalresponsibilities include:

  • Selectappropriate treatmentmodels and direct the therapy process,in accordance withfederal, state, and professional regulations
  • Address performance to support engagement in occupations that affect quality of life
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and train in the use of adaptive equipment
  • Assess client’s home environment and advise on alterations to support patient needs and capabilities
  • Collect patient data, document observations, and report treatment progress

  • Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as neededCollaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Job Requirements
  • Graduate of ASHA accredited school
  • Active Texas therapy license or eligible
  • Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP)
