Job summary

HealthPRO Heritage in Rochester, NY is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join our SNF team.

You will assess and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on communication strategies. This role offers a PRN schedule with competitive hourly pay of $57–$60.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment: Evaluate speech, language, voice, and swallowing using standardized tests and observations; diagnose based on results.
• Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies; monitor progress and educate families on strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and plans, with compliance to standards.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.

• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
• Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
