Job summary

HealthPRO Heritage in Berlin, MD is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Senior Living community. You will assess, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This role offers hourly pay in the mid to upper $50s and a competitive benefits package, with a mission-driven environment focused on high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
• Current ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
• Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

• Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
