Job summary

NHC HomeCare Somerville is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a PRN basis. The SLP will supervise and participate in therapeutic activities for patients with speech, language, hearing and oral myofunctional disorders.

Qualifications include a master’s degree in Speech Pathology, CCC-SP or CFY eligibility, and state licensure. The role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, delivering therapy, and participating in in-service training.

Qualifications

• CCC-SP certification or CFY eligibility preferred.
• Active state licensure where work is performed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in therapy programs for speech and language disorders.
• Evaluates patients and recommends appropriate treatment plans for physician approval.
• Plans and carries out therapy with periodic re-evaluations.
• In-service training participation for HomeCare personnel.

PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for NHC HomeCare Somerville

NHC HomeCare Somerville is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team! The Speech-Language Pathologist supervises and participates in the application of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech and language disorders, hearing disorders and oral myofunctional disorders.

Qualifications

• Must have a master’s degree from an approved curriculum in Speech Pathology, or its equivalent.
• Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SP) from the American Speech and Hearing Association or be eligible for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• Must be licensed in the state or states in which he/she will work.
  
  

Position Highlights

• Directs and supervises the Communication Disorders Service Department.
• Provides evaluations and therapy as ordered by the referring physician and recommends an appropriate treatment program for the physician’s approval.
• Evaluates, plans, and carries out therapy programs, including the establishment of goals for patients as referred and approved by the physician, with periodic re-evaluations.
• Participates in the in-service training program for the HomeCare personnel.
