Job summary

The Californian-Pasadena is a skilled nursing facility dedicated to delivering exceptional resident care and fostering a sense of community. We are hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of healthcare professionals committed to personalized attention and support.

The successful candidate will report to the Rehabilitation Director and provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services in a collaborative environment within our 82-bed facility.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must be in good physical and mental health.
• Candidate must be able to perform physical requirements, including lifting 40 pounds.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Has training/experience for general supervision of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients following Speech Language Pathology standards of care and practice.
• Provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitative services to residents.
• Monitor treatment progress and document responses.
• Observe and evaluate treatment effects and discuss with staff, physician and Rehab Director.
• Formulate teaching plans based on learning needs and involve family where appropriate.
• Maintain current documentation per facility policies.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
