Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Northern Baltimore County, Maryland is seeking a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to deliver home health services to seniors in designated communities.

The role may require early mornings/evenings or weekend hours, with home visits and collaboration across a multidisciplinary team. A Maryland SLP license and ASHA CCC-SLP (or equivalent) are required; Per Diem candidates should have HH/HCHB/Oasis experience.

Qualifications

• Current MD Speech Language Pathologist license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech (ASHA) or equivalent status.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform evaluations and provide therapy for speech, language, swallowing difficulties.
• Develop and update treatment plans based on evaluations and goals.
• Document observations and interventions in EMR and care plan notes.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitative care and activities for health and independence.

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a Part Time or Per Diem opportunity throughout Northern Baltimore County, Maryland.

This part-time position or per diem is to service seniors under their home health benefit but within 1-2 communities only - it's home health without the typical home health commute!

Position will require early mornings/evening hours or weekends - before 8am and after 4pm

Must be available Monday thru Friday between 8:30am-5:00pm (Part Time requires working 3 to 4 days per week and Per Diem requires working 2 to 3 days per week).

Per Diem requires current HH/HCHB/Oasis experience.

As a home care Speech Language Pathologist, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Responsibilities:

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients who are experiencing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
• Develop a treatment plan based on the evaluation, physician's orders, and recommended goals.
• Continually assess and revise the speech therapy care plan, and participate with BAYADA clinicians in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
• Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.
• Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.

Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Qualifications:

• A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Maryland.
• Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or;
• Have the equivalent educational requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and work experience necessary for such a certificate, and be awaiting the opportunity to take the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association examination for certification, or;
• Have completed the necessary work and education requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and be in the process of accumulating the necessary supervised work experience required for certification.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications: $66.00-70.00 per point.
