Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, plan and implement rehabilitative programs for speech, language, swallowing, voice and fluency disorders. You will provide education to patients and families and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and typically a Master's degree in the field; a Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• Education requirements shown: Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist as per state licensure.
• Experience with modalities/therapeutic interventions per standards and department policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs addressing speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers; educate families and patients.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members to improve patient outcomes.
• Establish and update formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
