Job summary

Learning Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is seeking a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to work primarily in our residential program in Johns Creek, GA. The role involves evaluating residents with speech, language, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing disorders due to acquired brain injury.

The position focuses on memory, language expression, speech production, pragmatics, comprehension, problem solving, conflict resolution, and swallowing therapies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a master’s degree in speech-language pathology and one-year experience completed with CCC from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and state licensure is required
• Previous Spinal Cord / Brain Injury experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in treatment of neurologically related physical disorders in community-based settings is strongly preferred
• Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
• Must have a valid driver’s license and responsible driving behaviors
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, linguistic and swallowing disorders resulting from acquired brain injury
• Develop strategies for clients in memory, language expression, speech production, pragmatics, comprehension, problem solving and swallowing disorders
• Work primarily in our residential program in Johns Creek, GA
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to set goals and monitor progress
