Job summary

Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital in Yorktown, VA seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for a PRN/Per Diem role to evaluate and treat patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, and related conditions. The therapist will guide treatment plans, educate families, and coordinate with other services to support patient recovery.

The position offers hourly compensation of $59, with opportunities to transition to full-time based on performance and needs.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is required.
• CCC or ASHA certification is preferred; full licensure required within 90 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans per patient needs.
• Delegate and direct therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs enabling return to community activities.
• Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
• Coordinate treatment programs with other clinical/therapeutic services and community resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
