Job summary

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services for patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. The role supports an interdisciplinary care team in a Per Diem capacity at our Simi Valley facility.

Requirements include a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and state licensure; ASHA CCC is preferred. CPR/BLS is required by AH policy.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Two years' speech language pathology experience is preferred.
• State licensure as a Speech Pathologist is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.
• Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
• Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
• Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
• Supervises assistants and support staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
