UNC Hospitals Rehabilitation Service Line is seeing a compassionate and dedicated part-time Pediatric Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. In this 24-hour week position, you will provide high quality care across the pediatric continuum for patients birth to 21 years of age, including developmental and neurological habilitation/rehabilitation. Diagnoses seen include but are not limited to autism, down syndrome, expressive/receptive language disorders, genetic disorders, traumatic brain injury, developmental delay, articulation, and fluency disorders.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and colleagues that are truly invested and passionate about the care they deliver. At the Center for Rehabilitation, you will work in collaboration with our dynamic and experienced pediatric-focused therapy team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists, as well as pediatric physiatrists, social workers, and pediatric nurse coordinators.
We are also engaged in weekly to monthly interdisciplinary clinics to provide specialized, holistic care for the following diagnoses, Cerebral Palsy, Special Infant Care Clinic (SICC), Brain Injury, Down Syndrome, and Rett Syndrome. Our team is at the heart of this growth and development to ensure that we are providing the best high-quality care to our patients and their families. In addition to patient care, you will engage in mentorship, professional development, student placements, and clinical program development, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on individual patients, future therapists, and the broader community.
