Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for our Acute Care Rehab Team in Jacksonville, FL. This part-time role at the Downtown main campus requires participation in weekend and holiday rotations and focuses on evaluating and treating adults in an acute care setting.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, licensure, ASHA CCC, and BLS. Experience with Modified Barium Swallow studies is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent required.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• ASHA CCC certification preferred or required by role.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients with a range of diagnoses.
• Provides extensive patient and family education.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rehab team care with nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, and others.
• Maintains detailed documentation in the EMR.
• Manages time effectively in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Speech Language Pathologist to our Acute Care Rehab Team in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a full-time opportunity working a part-time, days schedule at our main campus Downtown. This position is expected to participate in team weekend and holiday coverage rotations.

This is a part-time opportunity working in an adult acute care setting. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in Modified Barium Swallow Studies in an acute care setting.

• Evaluates and treats patients of all diagnoses.


• Provides extensive patient/family education.


• Participates in multidisciplinary team care with other rehab professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, support staff, etc.


• Works in a fast-paced setting requiring good time management, detailed documentation skills in the EMR, self-directed, and effective communication skills.

Experience Requirements

• 1 or more years Experience working in an Acute Care setting strongly preferred


• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies strongly Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements

• Master of Science Or Master of Arts Required


• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Required


• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence Required


• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required from the American Heart Association Required
