Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Pocatello, ID is seeking a day shift, full-time Outpatient Therapy Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The role focuses on evaluation, treatment, and education for individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Speech/Language or Communication Disorders, Idaho SLP license, and CCC-SLP or equivalent coursework, with BLS within 14 days of hire. Prior experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Idaho State SLP license.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and use purposeful activity with individuals limited by developmental disorders and disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, and related language and hearing disorders to prevent or modify the disorders or to assist cognition, language, and communication skills.
• Perform evaluation, treatment, consultation, and education of patients as well as caregivers.
• Perform a comprehensive evaluation and develop a Plan of Care.
• Implement the Plan of Care.
• Complete effective, professional, and timely documentation.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members.

• The practice of speech-language pathology encompasses evaluation, treatment, consultation, and education of patients as well as caregivers.


• Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a Plan of Care.

• Completes effective, professional, and timely documentation.


• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and team members.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program with a Master's degree in Speech/Language or Communication Disorders.


• Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Association or equivalent coursework to meet these standards.


• Current Idaho State SLP license.


• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

• At least one year of prior experience.
