Job summary

Parallel is hiring a Kentucky-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a remote assignment serving a Kentucky school partner. The role provides direct speech therapy to an elementary caseload, starts November 2026, and runs through May 2027, with a 3:1 schedule and a 17.5-hour workweek during Central Time school hours.

The position is a 1099 independent contractor role with compensation starting at $52/hour, and requires CCC-SLP, school-based experience, and comfort with telehealth and Medicaid

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of school-based IEP-directed therapy experience.
• Solid knowledge of IEP process, goal writing, case management, and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual, IEP-aligned speech therapy to elementary students.
• Use district week for evaluations, report writing, IEP meetings, and make-up sessions.
• Serve as case manager for a portion of the caseload and coordinate IEP timelines and paperwork.
• Join IEP meetings as needed and monitor/refine IEP goals with school teams.
• Track data, write quarterly progress reports, and document services in the LMS and Medicaid billing system.
• Collaborate with the district's special education team and other Parallel SLPs.

What You’ll Do

• Provide student-centered, IEP-aligned virtual speech therapy to elementary students.
• Use the monthly district week for evaluations, report writing, IEP meetings, and make‑up sessions.
• Serve as case manager for a portion of the caseload, coordinating IEP timelines and paperwork.
• Partner with school teams to monitor and refine IEP goals, and join IEP meetings as needed.
• Track session data and student progress, and write quarterly progress reports.
• Document services in Infinite Campus and log Medicaid billing in EZ ED MED.
• Collaborate with the district’s special education team and the other Parallel SLP serving this caseload.

What You’ll Need

• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP).
• At least 1 year of school-based experience delivering IEP-directed therapy after your clinical fellowship.
• Solid knowledge of the IEP process, goal writing, case management, and progress monitoring, plus the ability to ramp up quickly on a mid‑year start.
• Availability for 17.5 hours per week during weekday school hours, Central Time.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff.
• Comfort with virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation.
• Experience with Infinite Campus or Medicaid billing is a plus.

Compensation

Pay starts at $52/hour and varies depending on state and experience. This is a 1099 role only.
