Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
• Certification by the Florida Department of Education.
• Comprehensive knowledge about assessment and remediation of speech/language impairments.

Responsibilities

• Establish short- and long-range plans based on student needs.
• Select materials to support learning objectives.
• Prepare and maintain audit files on all speech/language impaired students.

Skills

Knowledge of assessment and remediation of speech / language impairments

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Ability to function as a member of the educational team

Ability to organize and prioritize activities

Knowledge of federal and state guidelines for speech programs

Education

Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree from an accredited institution

Certification in Speech / Language Pathology by FLDOE
