Job summary

Sans Souci Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in New York is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct speech therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and program development under physician orders.

The SLP will conduct screenings, develop and monitor treatment plans, educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, supervise students, and maintain documentation in accordance with department procedures.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current state licensure or licensure eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs Speech Therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program development and staff in-services.
• Conducts screenings of patients to determine need for intervention.
• Evaluates patients and develops data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Interprets evaluation findings to patients, families and team members.
• Establishes patient schedules and coordinates treatment plans with the team.
• Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment as ordered.
• Recommends equipment for communication and instructs users in devices.
• Participates in discharge planning and home/community programming.
