Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat individuals with voice, fluency, speech, language and swallowing disorders. The role requires CCC-SLP, active PA or NJ license, and CPR certification, with BLS within 30 days of hire.

You will document outcomes, communicate with patients and families, participate in care conferences, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in a hospital setting in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Doctoral or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification is required; CPR certification current.
• Current PA or NJ Speech Language Pathology license based on work location.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality care in evaluation and treatment of voice, fluency, speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Documents evaluation and treatment and bills for equipment and services rendered.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians and referral sources.
• Maintains and upgrades clinical skills via continuing education activities.
• Participates in patient care conferences, departmental programs, in-services and meetings.
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities in the Department and the hospital.
• Demonstrates productivity in terms of volume of patients seen for speech pathology services.
