Job summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all age groups. They conduct thorough evaluations, design treatment plans, and utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance communication skills.

Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing discharge plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice (required)
• CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire, required within one year
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)

Responsibilities

• Assess physician referrals and patient conditions to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment and discharge plans.
• Administer prescribed speech language pathology treatments.
• Design rehabilitative programs addressing language, voice, fluency, swallowing, cognition.
• Educate families and caregivers on procedures for home continuation of therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences.
