Job description

WHY THRIVE THERAPIES

SLPs are the backbone of school-based healthcare. You're managing complex caseloads, navigating documentation systems, and fighting for adequate planning time while delivering evidence-based care. At Thrive, we eliminate the administrative burden so you can focus on what you love: helping students communicate.

We partner with school districts that value your professional autonomy and provide compensation packages that reflect your master's-level expertise. Our SLPs report more planning time, transparent caseload caps aligned with ASHA standards, and direct access to school leadership for advocacy.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Speech‑Language Pathologist, you deliver evidence-based speech and language services to students K–12 with language disorders, articulation delays, fluency concerns, voice disorders, and complex communication needs. You collaborate with special education teams, general educators, parents, and related services providers to create inclusive, data-driven intervention plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized and dynamic assessment tools to determine eligibility for services under IDEA, Section 504, and state standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans with measurable, functional, and academically relevant goals.
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech‑language services across language, articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication domains.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress, treatment effectiveness, and session data.
  • Collaborate with special education, general education, and administrative staff to embed language‑learning strategies across the school day.
  • Participate actively in IEP/ARD meetings and contribute clinical expertise to placement, progress monitoring, and eligibility decisions.
  • Maintain ASHA‑compliant caseloads and ensure adherence to state and federal special education regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from a CAPCSD‑accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA.
  • Valid, unrestricted state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
  • Proof of immunization status and background check clearance per school district requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in school‑based SLP (2+ years preferred, new grads welcome).
  • Knowledge of RTI/MTSS frameworks.
  • Experience with AAC and assistive technology.
