Qualifications
Minimum Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state of practice.
Current CPR Certification per state regulations.
Minimum one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to neurological injuries preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written interactions.
Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, and assist patients up to 100 pounds.
Responsibilities
Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for speech and cognitive disorders.
Re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans and attend relevant meetings.
Communicate patient needs to the treatment team and family.
Perform discharge evaluations and recommend community safety resources.
